I sincerely hope that this post is not relevant for another…say 8 months, but we did have snow here in Ohio this week so who knows! It has been such a strange winter here! The couple times we have seen a good snow were actually when we were in Michigan visiting family. My sister and I took some photos when we were last there in the beginning of March, with a fresh winter backdrop. The closer I get to my thirties the more comfortable I am with my style. Shopping is not nearly as distressing as it was in my early twenties! Back then I had a “buy-all-the-things-on-sale-because-you-might-possibly-need-them-someday” mentality. Which often led to more clothing than I could possibly wear and depressing buyer’s remorse. I still have a lot of clothes, but it comes from a “keep-all-the-things-because-you-might-possibly-need-them” mentality. I’m working on it though, I promise! Sales remain a priority, but I do not buy anything unless I LOVE it and could see myself wearing it regularly. The pieces in this ensemble are like that for me. I could not get tired of the colors in this coat, scarf, and glove combination! And these cuffed jeans and booties are my go-to when I want to feel a little dressed up while remaining casual and comfortable. I’m sure my style will continue to evolve (let’s hope, right, I don’t wanna be the woman holding onto the 2010s too long) but this is my favorite phase to date!
Oh and HELLO dark lipstick, where have you been all my life?!
